January blues
January can be a somewhat (to some degree) depressing month, what with all the parting and shopping galore (abundance) having come to an end. The gloomy weather does not help either. Many people have been paid before Christmas, and with little money left in their bank accounts, it is a struggle moneywise. They cannot wait for the payday, which, unfortunately, is a fortnight away. Although, I have not indulged much in sales this year, I am waiting anxiously for the month end. It was hard to resist buying when you can get amazing stuff for a tenner or even a fiver. This can impel (urge) people to get heaps of stuff they might not need. At the moment, I have to exercise will power to resist the temptation all around me. So far, so good. Roll on payday!
